The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidovich misses with a double jab
and Gioane counters with a head kick. That will keep Leonidovich thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Gioane cracks Leonidovich with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Leonidovich looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gioane finish him?
It looks like Alexey Leonidovich has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leonidovich tries to keep at a distance but Gioane has taken the fight into the clinch.
Leonidovich is trying to break free.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Gioane takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Gioane jumps into guard, dragging Leonidovich to the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
