Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sumopainija Hokanen!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver misses with a wild combination.

Hokanen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hokanen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Silver won't allow Hokanen to pass to mount.
Hokanen missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Hokanen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Silver is refusing to be controlled, as Hokanen sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silver looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hokanen wants to free his trapped foot but Silver is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hokanen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Silver defending well though.
Hokanen tries to pass to full mount but Silver defends it.
Hokanen lands with a punch from half guard.
Hokanen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silver knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hokanen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hokanen looks to land a strike but Silver avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Hokanen tries to free his leg and advance position but Silver is retaining full guard.
Hokanen throwing strikes but missing.
Hokanen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hokanen throwing strikes but missing.
Hokanen won't allow Silver to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silver keeping full guard, as Hokanen tries to pass.
Hokanen advances position into side control!
Hokanen scoring with punches and elbows.
Hokanen in side control lands a decent elbow.
Hokanen works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silver on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Hokanen in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Silver pushes Hokanen away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hokanen gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ground and pound from Hokanen seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Hokanen is working Silver over with some ground and pound from side control.
Hokanen tries to move to mount but Silver blocks the move with his legs.
Hokanen postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hokanen tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silver is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hokanen is controlling him well.
Silver prevents Hokanen from moving into mount.
Hokanen misses with the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sumopainija Hokanen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Hokanen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silver napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hokanen tries to score with some ground and pound. Silver controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Silver defending against the ground and pound.
Hokanen tries to advance to mount but can't.
Hokanen lands an elbow.
Hokanen scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Silver to see if he's OK.
Silver is trying to get back to his feet.
Check out the look on Hokanen's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hokanen crunches a massive hammerfist down on Silver - he's out! Hokanen Holds back on further strikes and jumps to his feet to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Sumopainija Hokanen!
Sumopainija Hokanen very nearly forgot to thank SPARTA FIGHTWARE-GTI amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
