Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Pardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belfort comes to the cage accompanied by Delinquent Habits - Tres Delinquentes . Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Vitor Belfort!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Pardo!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pardo misses with an attempted mid kick.
Pardo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Belfort.
Belfort scores with a nice head shot.
Belfort misses with the combination.
A jab from Pardo misses.
Belfort looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pardo is fending him off so far but Belfort persists. Nope, Pardo circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice shot lands for Belfort.
Vitor Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pardo scores with a decent looking hook.
Belfort ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pardo moves away.
Pardo misses with a low kick.
Belfort fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Belfort looks to score with a jab to the body but Pardo is just out of range.
A head kick misses from Pardo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Belfort lands a right hook to the body.
Belfort scores with a shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belfort lands a nice looking body shot.
Pardo looks to throw the jab but Belfort is out of range.
Belfort waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pardo.
Belfort wants to land a leg kick but Pardo is out of range.

Belfort clinches up with Pardo and pushes him back against the cage.
Pardo is trying to break the clinch but Belfort has him pressed against the cage.
Belfort working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Belfort presses Pardo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Pardo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Paul Pardo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pardo throws a big shot that misses.
Belfort lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Belfort walks into a straight right hand from Pardo.

Pardo has Belfort up against the cage in a clinch.

Pardo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Horrible takedown by Belfort or perhaps it was just good defense by Pardo which made him look bad.
Belfort is looking to wear down Pardo with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pardo missing with a left hand there. Belfort was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Belfort is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pardo throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Pardo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Belfort manages to avoid it.
Pardo swings widly with a right hand
and Belfort counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Belfort scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Belfort throwing strikes here but Pardo is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Belfort sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Pardo wants to hold on but Belfort pushes him away.

Belfort goes for an armbar but Pardo turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pardo.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Belfort keeping moving, preventing Pardo from controlling successfully.
Belfort looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pardo is one step ahead there.

Belfort is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Pardo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Belfort can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pardo controls the pace.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pardo wanted to stand there but Belfort had control of the position.

Pardo stands up and waves to Belfort to follow him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Belfort takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Paul Pardo will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Belfort walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Belfort misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Belfort checks a low kick from Pardo.
Belfort tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pardo is able to avoid easily.
Paul Pardo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Belfort takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
No luck for Belfort with that takedown attempt.
Pardo walks into a jab.
Belfort ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pardo moves away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pardo looks to land a combination but Belfort avoids it well.
Belfort wants to clinch up but Pardo keeps it at a distance.
Pardo misses with an uppercut. Belfort saw that one coming.
Pardo loads up on a big right hand but Belfort slips the punch.
Pardo cracks a nice hook into Belfort's ribs.
Belfort misses with a straight left.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belfort bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pardo's head.
Pardo lands a really nice looking cross but Belfort seems unphased.
Pardo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A head kick from Pardo lands but Belfort takes it in his stride.
Pardo connects with the punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Pardo.
Belfort takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Pardo and Belfort are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Pardo throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Belfort into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Pardo knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Paul Pardo!
