The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vondrachek throws a combination that misses
letting Submitt counter with a right hand.

Submitt is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Submitt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Vondrachek wants to control from the top but Submitt keeps moving.

Vondrachek drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Submitt manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vondrachek has Submitt in his guard.
Submitt's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Vondrachek is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Vondrachek bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Submitt's guard.
Vondrachek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Submitt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vondrachek is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Submitt sees it coming and defends easily.

Vondrachek can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Submitt is looking to escape.
Submitt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Vondrachek has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Submitt prevents Vondrachek from taking his back.

Vondrachek wants to finish this one by submission but Submitt is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Vondrachek.

Submitt drives through and clinches with Vondrachek against the cage.
Vondrachek lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Submitt backwards.
Submitt tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vondrachek smiles and moves away.
Submitt fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Vondrachek checks it well.
Petr Vondrachek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vondrachek knocks Submitt to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Submitt is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big shot lands for Vondrachek! That's hurt Submitt! Will he recover? Vondrachek fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
