Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Pep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Talib Kweli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kweli comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 2Pac - Hit em up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pep throws a right hand that Kweli ducks under and follows up with a left that Kweli also avoids with ease.
Pep tries to close the distance and clinch but Kweli swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pep scores with a hook to the body. Kweli takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Frankie Pep seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kweli shoots in looking for a takedown. Pep tries to sprawl out of it but Kweli keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pep manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kweli is trying desperately to land a takedown but Pep is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kweli.

A decent looking cross lands there for Pep.
Kweli's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Good leg kick by Pep there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Kweli might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Pep has got the better of the exchanges.
