Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Samsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lesner has chosen down with the sickness as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Brock Lesner enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gregor Samsa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Lesner! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesner dodges the punch combination from Samsa.
Samsa walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Lesner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Samsa to the mat! Samsa manages to get full guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Lesner wants to pass the guard but Samsa is keeping the position. Samsa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lesner lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Samsa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Samsa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lesner. Lesner controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Lesner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Samsa manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lesner's best efforts. Lesner is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Samsa wants to improve his position but Lesner is controlling well.

Lesner lands a decent elbow from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Samsa struggling a bit here. Samsa sneaks back into half guard. Samsa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lesner pulls his head out easily. Samsa has one foot on Lesner's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Lesner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lesner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Samsa did well to prevent Lesner getting side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lesner is pressing down on Samsa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Samsa is holding on for now. Lesner is trying to work for a kimura but Samsa is defending well.
Lesner is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Samsa is looking for a sweep. Lesner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Samsa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lesner pulls his head out easily. Lesner is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lesner is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Samsa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lesner. Lesner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Samsa is just riding it out for now. Lesner eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Lesner dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lesner takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Lesner has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Lesner. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Lesner misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Samsa is looking to improve his position but Lesner isn't that keen on the idea.

This has been an exciting period of action! Lesner is looking to work some ground and pound but Samsa has wrist control. Lesner sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Samsa's guard. Samsa won't allow Lesner to pass to mount. Samsa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lesner.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesner passes into side control, despite Samsa's attempt to control the position.
Samsa gets back to half guard. Lesner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Samsa knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Samsa moves into full guard.

Samsa is looking for a sweep. Lesner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Samsa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lesner throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Samsa is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lesner off and has taken his back! Lesner tries to roll but Samsa sticks to his back.

Samsa has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lesner has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Samsa is trying to stick to Lesner's back but Lesner is turning into Samsa. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Samsa's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lesner. Lesner working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Samsa's head. Lesner controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Samsa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lesner is controlling him. That was a close second round but I would say that Gregor Samsa will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brock Lesner's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Samsa works Lesner's body with a nice hook. Samsa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lesner pinned against the cage. Lesner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lesner on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Lesner shoots in for a takedown but Samsa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Lesner closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Samsa quickly recovers to half guard. Lesner is looking to take a break and control but Samsa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lesner looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Samsa actively working from the bottom here. Lesner is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Samsa sees it coming and defends easily. Lesner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Samsa actively working from the bottom here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Samsa cracks the inside of Lesner's front leg. Samsa scores with a spinning back kick! Brock Lesner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Samsa swinging wildly here.

and Samsa counters with a head kick. That will keep Lesner thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Samsa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lesner swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lesner throws a head kick that misses and Samsa counters with a right hand to the body. A solid leg kick lands there for Samsa.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Samsa throws a right hand that Lesner ducks under and follows up with a left that Lesner also avoids with ease. Lesner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Samsa sprawls well. Samsa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lesner gets slowly back to his feet. Samsa cracks Lesner with a good jab. Samsa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lesner tries to avoid it but Samsa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lesner to the ground. Lesner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lesner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Samsa scores with a head kick. Lesner tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Lesner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Samsa tries to avoid it but Lesner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Samsa to the ground. Samsa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Samsa scores with a head kick.
Samsa comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Samsa dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Samsa scores with a head kick. Lesner tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Samsa connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Lesner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Samsa.
Samsa is looking to wear down Lesner with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Samsa tries to sprawl but Lesner drives through with a takedown into half guard. Samsa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lesner pulls his head out easily. Samsa looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lesner lands strikes from half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lesner passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Samsa! Samsa can't escape the position.
