Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Royston De Noteboom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Haidar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Noteboom comes to the cage accompanied by Rotting Christ - Snowing Still. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Royston De Noteboom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Reggie Haidar! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Noteboom misses with a body shot.
Haidar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
De Noteboom shoots in for a takedown but Haidar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Haidar fails to land with a series of punches.
Haidar throws a nice looking combination but De Noteboom bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Haidar swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by De Noteboom.
It looks like Royston De Noteboom has been cut. Haidar throws a left and a right that both miss
and De Noteboom decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Haidar's guard. De Noteboom showing good wrestling skills to control the position. This has been an exciting period of action! De Noteboom throws a big elbow that misses. De Noteboom throws a strike but Haidar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haidar wants to stand but De Noteboom has a closed guard, so he can't escape. De Noteboom is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. De Noteboom not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Noteboom throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. De Noteboom not landing any meaningful shots this time. De Noteboom missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. De Noteboom missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Haidar trying to hold on to De Noteboom's head to control him but De Noteboom postures up.
Haidar is trying to get back to full guard. De Noteboom wants to pass the guard but Haidar is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Noteboom missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. De Noteboom takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Haidar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Noteboom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. De Noteboom thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. De Noteboom wants to control but Haidar is keeping him busy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A combination from Haidar does no damage. A swing and a miss from Haidar. De Noteboom avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haidar throws a shot from downtown. De Noteboom moves away and avoids it. Haidar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by De Noteboom.
Haidar misses with a double jab.
De Noteboom shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nice takedown defense from Haidar. No joy for De Noteboom on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Royston De Noteboom. That's going to take a lot out of him. De Noteboom closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Haidar's guard. De Noteboom won't allow Haidar to get back to his feet. De Noteboom postures up in Haidar's guard and throws a big left but Haidar blocks it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. De Noteboom is looking to work some ground and pound but Haidar has wrist control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! De Noteboom chips away with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Royston De Noteboom dominated that round. The cut man is working on Royston De Noteboom's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
De Noteboom clinches up with Haidar and pushes him back against the cage. Haidar wants to break free but De Noteboom has control.
De Noteboom slowing the pace effectively. Haidar tries to circle away but De Noteboom has him pinned against the cage. Haidar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Haidar is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. De Noteboom tightens his grip and picks Haidar up, before dumping him to the ground. Haidar manages to land in guard. De Noteboom trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Haidar wants to stand but De Noteboom is controlling the position. De Noteboom passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Noteboom misses with the ground and pound. De Noteboom connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Haidar some visible discomfort.
Haidar is not content to let De Noteboom control the position. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting De Noteboom here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. De Noteboom throws an elbow but Haidar slips to the side and avoids it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haidar is trying to improve his position. Haidar taking a bit of punishment here - De Noteboom scoring with strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Haidar can do anything to dispel that myth. De Noteboom working the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Haidar takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. De Noteboom moves into full mount! De Noteboom can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Haidar is looking to escape. De Noteboom with shots to the head and body - Haidar looks very uncomfortable down there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Noteboom controlling the pace for now. De Noteboom postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Haidar looks a forlorn figure.
De Noteboom throws some wild stikes that Haidar manages to avoid easily.
De Noteboom has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Haidar's face.
De Noteboom tries to control but Haidar wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haidar taking shots to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! De Noteboom content just to control the position here. De Noteboom postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Haidar in real trouble here! The ref calls for Haidar to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Royston De Noteboom!
