Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Kay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Drug Test. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Kay! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kay avoids it really well and circles away. A swing and a miss from Kay. Diaz scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Kay throws a poor cross that misses
and Diaz counters with a left and a right that stings Kay. Kay forces Diaz back against the cage and clinches. Kay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kay connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Diaz momentarily.
Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Kay cracks Diaz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kay gets a clinch. Kay manages to break the clinch.
Kay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Diaz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kay breaks the clinch.
Kay throws a leg kick but Diaz sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz moves out of range as Kay strikes. Kay moves in looking to clinch but Diaz pushes him off. Kay throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range. Kay scores with a punch to the head. Some wild striking there from Kay.
Diaz gets tackled into the cage by Kay. Kay maintains the clinch. Diaz jumps guard but Kay stands there with Diaz around his waist. Diaz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kay scores with an uppercut up the middle. Diaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kay loads up on a big right hand but Diaz slips the punch. Diaz feints a jab promting Kay to slip. Diaz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kay slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Diaz looks to land a combination but Kay avoids it well. Diaz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kay. Diaz staying out of range there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kay misses with a series of wild punches.

Diaz has had enough of the clinch but Kay keeps him there for the moment. Diaz tries to break free but Kay pushes him back against the cage. Kay is struggling to control the position. Diaz is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz jumps guard but Kay turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Kay escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Kay sprawls well. He's pushed Diaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Diaz misses the shot to the body. Kay throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Diaz tries to keep at a distance but Kay has taken the fight into the clinch. Kay breaks from the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Kay. Those never looked like landing. A punch combination from Diaz misses. Kay tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Martin Kay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kay lands a jab-cross combination. No joy there for Diaz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kay fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diaz, pushing him back against the cage. Diaz wants to break free but Kay has control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A combination from Diaz does no damage. Kay misses with a few strikes there.
Kay lands a head shot. Diaz looks to land a combination but Kay avoids it well. Kay throws a hook but Diaz blocks it. Diaz looks to land a combination but Kay avoids it well. Kay throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Diaz stumbling backwards into the cage! Diaz bounces back off the cage towards Kay, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Kay lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Kay celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
