The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Severn slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Bowen is trying to get back to his feet but Severn has full control of the position and if anything, Bowen has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Severn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bowen is trying to defend but Severn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Bowen is looking to get back to is feet but Severn passes into side control.
Makebono Bowen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dan Severn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bowen throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

I would just about give that final round to Makebono Bowen.
