Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rui Salsep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salsep's entrance music is Bruce Dickinson - Tears of the Dragon. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Salsep forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.
Silva lands a takedown into guard.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Salsep is keeping the position.
Silva controls from within his opponent's guard.
Salsep on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Salsep tries to get out of the position.
Salsep wants to sweep but no luck.
Salsep not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Silva throws a big elbow that misses.
Salsep is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva moves in looking to clinch but Salsep pushes him off.

Silva manages to break the clinch.
Silva works the jab nicely.
Silva closes the distance and clinches.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Salsep is working for takedown but Silva is calmly controlling the position for now.
Silva lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Salsep.
Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva drives through and clinches with Salsep against the cage.

Salsep goes for a takedown attempt but Silva pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Silva rushes Salsep and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

It looks like Rui Salsep has been cut.
Silva gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Salsep regains guard.
Silva passes Salsep's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcos Silva dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rui Salsep's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Silva changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Salsep keeps the fight on the outside.
Silva tries to clinch but Salsep moves out of range.
Silva wants to clinch up but Salsep keeps it at a distance.
Silva scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Silva is trying to control. Salsep wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Salsep tries to get to full guard but Silva has control of the leg.
Salsep is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Silva scores with a couple of nice shots.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Salsep is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily.

Silva lands strikes from half guard.
Silva is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Silva has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Silva is taking a breather. Salsep says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Silva is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Silva lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Salsep hang on?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Silva working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Silva lands a heavy elbow.
BOOM! Silva connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Salsep might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Silva landing strikes from the mount.
Salsep is rocked!
Silva wants to control the pace but Salsep is squirming around nicely.
Oh Salsep is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Salsep seems to have got his legs back now.
Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Salsep kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Salsep tries to reverse the position but Silva maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Salsep can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Silva looking to control but Salsep is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Salsep in real trouble here! The ref calls for Salsep to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
