The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madafaka throws a head kick that misses.

Madafaka shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Plantz napping and manages to drive through into side control!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Plantz takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

It looks like James Plantz has been cut.
Plantz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Plantz wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
