Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dennis Akpomedaye!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Stepanov.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Stepanov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Akpomedaye some visible discomfort.
The referee asks Stepanov politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Stepanov prefers to stall for the moment though.
Akpomedaye tries to buck Stepanov off but Stepanov is having none of it.
Akpomedaye is not content to let Stepanov control the position.
Akpomedaye is trying to improve his position.
You can see the frustration on Akpomedaye's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Akpomedaye sneaks back into half guard.
Stepanov is thwarting Akpomedaye's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stepanov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Akpomedaye keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Akpomedaye wants to get back to his feet.
Stepanov is trying to control the action in half guard but Akpomedaye is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Alexej Stepanov has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Stepanov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Akpomedaye swivels and escapes.
Stepanov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Stepanov scores with a three punch combo!
Akpomedaye is rocked!
Stepanov closes the distance looking for a takedown. Akpomedaye stuffs it but Stepanov still has hold of him. Stepanov picks Akpomedaye up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Stepanov slams Akpomedaye to the floor and that's really hurt Akpomedaye - he doesn't know where he is! Stepanov throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexej Stepanov!
