Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Usama Double Tap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Hidetoshi Nakata!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakata tries for a takedown but Double Tap circles away easily

so Double Tap counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Nakata is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Double Tap is looking to stand up but Nakata won't let him.

Double Tap in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Double Tap is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nakata has escaped the position, nice work there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nakata has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Double Tap escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Double Tap!

Nakata can't do much from the bottom here.
Nakata is pushing Double Tap's head away, looking to escape. Double Tap manages to hold on to the position though.
Nakata tries to control but Double Tap manages to take his back.
Double Tap throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
Nakata turns into Double Tap and is now in his guard.

Double Tap knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nakata on the ground.

Double Tap is trying to control but Nakata passes into side control!
You can see the frustration on Double Tap's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nakata swings around for an armbar but Double Tap sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nakata's guard.

Nakata throws his legs up looking for a submission but Double Tap uses it to pass to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Usama Double Tap will probably get the nod.

Nakata manages to break the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Double Tap as Nakata shoots in.
Double Tap shoots for a takedown but Nakata saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Usama Double Tap has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hidetoshi Nakata.
Double Tap changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nakata tries to avoid it but Double Tap manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nakata to the ground. Nakata escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nakata leaves Double Tap with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Double Tap wants to clinch up but Nakata keeps it at a distance.
Nakata fails with the takedown.

Double Tap manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Nakata on his heels. He'll look to pass Nakata's guard now, I'm sure.
Nakata is breathing heavily.

Double Tap wants to control from the top but Nakata keeps moving.

Nakata is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Double Tap is aware though and is defending well.

Nakata has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Double Tap can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Nakata escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Double Tap gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Double Tap trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Nakata working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Double Tap doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Double Tap manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nakata is looking to sinch up a triangle. Double Tap throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nakata's body to avoid the submission. Nakata has instead reached around Double Tap's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nakata arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Hidetoshi Nakata!
