Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandon Higgins !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gary Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop moves in looking to clinch but Higgins pushes him off.
Bishop throws a push kick but Higgins slaps the foot to one side.
Bishop tries to clinch but Higgins moves out of range.
Bishop throws a head kick that misses.
Bishop wants to clinch.
Bishop fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Higgins , pushing him back against the cage.
Bishop lands a shot to the body.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Bishop obliges.
Higgins tries for a takedown. No joy.

Bishop is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Bishop misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Higgins .
Bishop manages to break the clinch.

Bishop wants to clinch
and Higgins counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Higgins postures up in Bishop's guard and throws a big left but Bishop blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bishop is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bishop is trying to keep Higgins in close.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Higgins 's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Higgins preventing the sweep.
Bishop wants to stand and escape but Higgins is having none of it.
Higgins working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Higgins tries to free his leg and advance position but Bishop is retaining full guard.
Bishop really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Higgins . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Higgins won't allow Bishop to sweep him here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bishop is trying to control the position but Higgins postures up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bishop holds on and takes a little breather.

Bishop wants to sweep here but Higgins controlling him for the moment.
Higgins is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bishop utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Higgins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bishop trying to keep a closed guard but Higgins is proving a slippery customer.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bishop is on top in guard.
Bishop wants to control from the top but Higgins keeps moving.
Higgins looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gary Bishop wasn't active enough on the ground.
Higgins swats away the attempt to clinch by Bishop.
Higgins keeps the fight on the outside.
Bishop closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bishop misses with a knee strike.
Higgins goes for a takedown attempt but Bishop pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Bishop wants to clinch.
Gary Bishop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Higgins takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Bishop tries to clinch there but Higgins circles away.
Bishop moves in looking to clinch but Higgins pushes him off.
Higgins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bishop plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Bishop tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Higgins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bishop shoots in looking for a takedown. Higgins tries to sprawl out of it but Bishop keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Higgins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bishop throws a wild body kick that Higgins sees coming a mile off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gary Bishop dominated that round.

Bishop bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Higgins counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Brandon Higgins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bishop manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Higgins manages to get himself to full guard.

Bishop prevents Higgins from getting back to his feet.
Higgins seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Higgins is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bishop frees his head nicely. Oh but Higgins has switched to an armbar! Bishop is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
