Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cole Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cole Foster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Shields! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foster leaves Shields with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Foster scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Foster dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shields. That did some damage! Foster misses with a two punch combination.
Foster pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Foster lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shields's sensitive parts. Cole Foster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Foster misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shields keeps the fight on the outside. Shields shoots and misses and Foster counters with a head kick. Foster throws a right and a left that both miss. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Foster tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shields paws at him with a jab and circles away. Shields gets tackled into the cage by Foster. Foster maintains the clinch. Foster breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shields is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Foster. Foster throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Jake Shields has been cut. Foster stuffs the takedown attempt from Shields. Shields gets slowly back to his feet. Cole Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Shields. Shields looks gassed! Foster has taken the fight to the clinch.
Shields is trying desperately to land a takedown but Foster is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Shields. Shields changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Foster fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Shields shoots for a double leg takedown but Foster sprawls well. He's pushed Shields's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Shields gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Shields tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Foster is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Shields buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Shields!! Shields is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Foster throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cole Foster!
