Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bret McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tessenji Fuuhaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bret McKenzie! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tessenji Fuuhaku! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKenzie takes a swing at Fuuhaku's ribcage but misses. McKenzie scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. McKenzie throws an overhand right that lands on Fuuhaku's shoulder, as Fuuhaku tries to avoid the shot. Fuuhaku fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McKenzie. Fuuhaku tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McKenzie is able to avoid easily. Fuuhaku throws a looping overhand right but McKenzie ducks down to avoid it. McKenzie misses with a body punch
and Fuuhaku counters with a solid body kick. Fuuhaku fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McKenzie has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Fuuhaku slips a straight right by McKenzie. McKenzie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fuuhaku moves away. Fuuhaku ducks under a wild hook from McKenzie. McKenzie throws a poor cross that misses
and Fuuhaku counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. McKenzie is lucky that one didn't land flush. This has been an exciting period of action! McKenzie misses with a wild body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuuhaku clinches up with McKenzie and pushes him back against the cage. Fuuhaku misses with a knee to the head. Fuuhaku working McKenzie over with knees to the body. McKenzie can't find room to land a body shot as Fuuhaku controls the action.

McKenzie tries to work over Fuuhaku's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. McKenzie tries a body shot but Fuuhaku blocks it.

It looks like Bret McKenzie has been cut. Fuuhaku has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles McKenzie - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Fuuhaku, and another! McKenzie is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
