Venus has chosen Dangerous - Michael Jackson as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Wehland 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Venus gets caught flat footed, as Wehland shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Venus manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Wehland shoots in for a takedown but Venus shows good takedown defense.
Venus rushes Wehland and presses him up against the cage.
Wehland has Venus pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wehland pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Venus tumbling to the mat - Wehland dives into Venus's guard.
Venus trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Venus is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Wehland frees his head nicely. Oh but Venus has switched to an armbar! Wehland is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
