PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coco Jambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ben Webster has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ben Webster seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Webster fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jambo, pushing him back against the cage.

Webster gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Jambo is trying to get back to full guard.
Jambo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Webster.
Jambo is trying to maintain the position but Webster is very close to passing his half guard.
Webster throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jambo to regain full guard.

You can see the frustration on Jambo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jambo holds on and takes a little breather.
Jambo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Webster stands up and waves to Jambo to follow him.

Webster rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jambo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Webster misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Webster looks to land a combination. Jambo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Jambo tries to clinch but Webster is having none of it.
Webster throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jambo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Webster tries to avoid it but Jambo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Webster to the ground. Webster escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Webster forces Jambo back against the cage and clinches.

Webster breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Webster avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Webster throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jambo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Webster has Jambo pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Webster pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jambo tumbling to the mat - Webster dives into Jambo's guard.

Jambo closes the distance and clinches up with Webster, looking for a takedown. Jambo pushes Webster against the cage but Webster circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Webster swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Webster feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Webster drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jambo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jambo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jambo!
