Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Texas Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Texas Pete!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pete paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


It looks like Max Steele has been cut.
Pete wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Pete misses the shot to the body.
Pete takes a swing at Steele's ribcage but misses.
Steele shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pete defends it nicely.
Pete misses with a jab to the body

and Steele counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pete!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pete is working to get back to half guard.
Steele wants to control but Pete has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Pete gets full guard.
Pete keeping moving, preventing Steele from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steele looking to pass the guard.

Pete has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Steele can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pete had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Steele defends it easily.

Pete throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Steele escapes and throws Pete's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steele wants to stand but Pete has his arm trapped.
Pete tries to buck Steele off but Steele is having none of it.
Pete is letting Steele control him for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steele is looking to take a break and control but Pete is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Steele advances nicely into full mount.
Steele trying to control but Pete is having none of it.
Pete really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Steele trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Pete is trying desperately to improve position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Steele wants to control the pace but Pete is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Texas Pete will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Max Steele's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Steele looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Steele shoots in looking for a takedown but Pete manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Steele's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pete stuns Steele with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Max Steele is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pete smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Pete digs a good body shot into Steele's ribs.
Pete lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Steele backs up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pete throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pete takes a swing at Steele's ribcage but misses.
Pete with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Pete looks to land a combination. Steele sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Pete scores with a nice right hand.
Nice body punch from Pete.

Pete lands with a good body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Steele takes a body punch but keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pete ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Steele takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Steele is rocked!
Pete comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Oh Steele is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pete plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Steele to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Steele just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Texas Pete!
Texas Pete gave a mention to Crashforce Nutrition (Authentic 160Q/159Q supps!) in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
