The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves scores with a takedown into Gracie's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Alves makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Gracie has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Alves should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gracie has tightened it up now! Alves should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
