PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Panther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bushi Llewtras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Panther comes into the arena with Slam Smack by jim Johnston blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bushi Llewtras!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panther swats away the attempt to clinch by Llewtras.
Llewtras closes the distance and clinches up with Panther, looking for a takedown. Llewtras pushes Panther against the cage but Panther circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Panther tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Panther pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Llewtras has a takedown stuffed.
Llewtras is looking to clinch but Panther is avoiding it.
Llewtras fails with an attempt to clinch.
Llewtras shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Panther sprawls well. Panther wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Llewtras gets slowly back to his feet.
James Panther has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bushi Llewtras.

Llewtras wants to clinch
and Panther counters with a big head kick but Llewtras shrugs it off.
Panther lands a head kick that stumbles Llewtras and the fighters go to the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Llewtras is trying to control the position but Panther postures up.

Llewtras had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Panther defends it easily.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Panther's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Llewtras has momentary wrist control but Panther slips an elbow through the middle.

Llewtras should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
