Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deacon Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zebra Zebrata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cage comes into the arena with Black Tide - "Warriors of Time" blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zebrata looks to score with a jab to the body but Cage is just out of range.

Zebrata shoots in for a takedown but Cage shows good takedown defense.
Zebra Zebrata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice sprawl there from Cage as Zebrata shoots in.
Zebrata darts in and clinches Cage up against the cage.

Cage tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cage's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Cage duly obliges.
Zebrata shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cage sprawls well. Cage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zebrata gets slowly back to his feet.
Deacon Cage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zebra Zebrata.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cage has gone for a leg lock! Zebrata slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cage's guard.

Cage has his foot on Zebrata's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zebrata works his way back into a safe position though.
Cage had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zebrata defends it easily.

Cage bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zebrata's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cage winds up and cracks Zebrata with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Cage is keen to just control but Zebrata is a slippery customer.
Cage is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zebrata is just riding it out for now. Cage eventually gives up the hold.

Cage is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Zebrata!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Zebrata is bucking up trying to escape but Cage cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cage fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Cage is landing with some decent strikes but Zebrata is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Cage moves into the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Cage is looking to take this one to the mat.
Cage successfully pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cage working for a triangle but Zebrata defends it easily.
Cage looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Zebrata has picked Cage up and slammed him! Cage can't keep hold of the triangle and Zebrata manages to pass to side control!
Cage is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Zebrata off and has taken his back!
Cage controlling well, preventing Zebrata from escaping the position.
Cage has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Zebrata is in real trouble here. Cage gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Zebrata is tapping out! Cage wins by rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Deacon Cage!
Deacon Cage bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
