PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrien Spectre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spectre has chosen Crown The Empire - Johhny Ringo as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adrien Spectre!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown avoids a punch combination nicely.
Spectre throws a one two combo.
Spectre throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Spectre wants to clinch.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Brown closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Spectre managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Brown.
Brown in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Brown postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Brown lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Spectre down.

Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spectre swivels though and keeps the full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Spectre can't fight it off and eventually Brown manages to take the fight to the floor. Spectre looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Brown connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Spectre some visible discomfort.
Spectre takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Brown is looking to take a break and control but Spectre is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Spectre regains half guard, as Brown was trying to land strikes.

Spectre tries to kick Brown off but Brown keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Brown looks to land a strike but Spectre avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Spectre is breathing heavily.
Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Spectre has wrist control.
Brown is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Brown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Spectre but Spectre pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Spectre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The crowd cheers as Brown lands an impressive looking overhand right. Spectre doesn't seem phased though.
Spectre lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Spectre.
Spectre throws a right and a left that Brown avoids nicely.

Spectre ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Brown gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Brown is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Brown breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Adrien Spectre is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Spectre will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brown dodges the punch combination from Spectre.
Spectre pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Brown back to the cage. Spectre follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Spectre takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Spectre throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Brown creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Spectre sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Spectre really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Spectre is rocked!
Brown is landing with some decent strikes but Spectre is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Spectre is still in real trouble! Can Brown finish him?
