Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jean LeSac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herb Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Emelianenko's choice of entrance music: Tangerine Sky. Jean LeSac has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Herb Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LeSac throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Emelianenko's waist but Emelianenko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing LeSac off to one side. LeSac shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than LeSac was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Emelianenko is trying to escape the mount.

Emelianenko tries to lock up and control but LeSac gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Emelianenko is looking to get to half guard. Emelianenko is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's four minutes gone in the round. LeSac is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Emelianenko will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. LeSac wants to lay and pray for a moment but Emelianenko keeps working. LeSac fails to land a wild elbow strike.
LeSac staying calm. LeSac advances nicely into full mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Emelianenko is wriggling around trying to escape.

LeSac fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Emelianenko is looking to clinch. LeSac looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Emelianenko! Emelianenko working to try and regain half guard.
Emelianenko regains half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. LeSac prevents Emelianenko from improving his position. LeSac is pressing down on Emelianenko's thigh, looking to free his foot. Emelianenko is holding on for now. Well, if LeSac is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

LeSac content just to control the position here. LeSac wants to control the pace but Emelianenko is squirming around nicely. Emelianenko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jean LeSac just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Emelianenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. LeSac manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Emelianenko manages to get himself to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. LeSac takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Jean LeSac has been cut. LeSac slips a jab and a cross from Emelianenko.
Emelianenko scores with a slapping inside leg kick. LeSac shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. This has been an exciting period of action! Emelianenko slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Emelianenko tries to get to full guard but LeSac has control of the leg. Emelianenko wants to control but LeSac is keeping busy.

A close second round but Herb Emelianenko will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Jean LeSac's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

LeSac is pressing down on Emelianenko's thigh, looking to free his foot. Emelianenko is holding on for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. LeSac prevents Emelianenko from improving his position. Emelianenko is trying to maintain the position but LeSac is very close to passing his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emelianenko is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but LeSac is staying active. Both fighters are breathing heavily. LeSac uses his free foot to push down on Emelianenko's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Emelianenko. Emelianenko tries to lock up and control but LeSac gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
