Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Conlaoch Cuchulainn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conlaoch Cuchulainn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva scores with a body shot.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Cuchulainn gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Cuchulainn scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cuchulainn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva pushes Cuchulainn off looking to stand but Cuchulainn dives back in and keeps control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cuchulainn seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with.
Cuchulainn lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Conlaoch Cuchulainn has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Silva drives through and clinches with Cuchulainn against the cage.
Cuchulainn has picked Silva up - he's going for a ride! Cuchulainn dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Cuchulainn takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Cuchulainn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cuchulainn seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cuchulainn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Cuchulainn finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cuchulainn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
