The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hardy napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perkins is chipping away with strikes.
Perkins controlling from side mount.
Perkins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Perkins landing a few strikes.
Hardy is breathing heavily.

Perkins lands a strong strike to the head of Hardy. That's dazed him! Perkins looking to finish here. Hardy is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Perkins lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
