Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Fransua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devan Govatos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fransua comes to the cage accompanied by Costello - Profite. Govatos has chosen Six Foot Seven as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pierre Fransua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Devan Govatos! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fransua shoots in looking for a takedown. Govatos tries to sprawl out of it but Fransua keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Govatos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fransua fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Govatos lands with a nice combination. Fransua backs away looking to recover. Fransua looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Fransua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Govatos throws a jab but it's blocked by Fransua. Fransua looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sloppy strikes from Govatos. Those never looked like landing. Fransua blocks a leg kick. Govatos cracks Fransua with a right hand to the side of the head. Govatos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fransua circles away quickly and effectively. Govatos shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Govatos lands with a shot to the body. Govatos throws a push kick but Fransua slaps the foot to one side. Govatos shoots in but no luck this time. Govatos throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Govatos lands a nice looking body kick. Govatos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fransua is trying to defend but Govatos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Govatos wants to stand but Fransua has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Fransua looks like he's trying to stand up.
Govatos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fransua does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fransua pushes Govatos off looking to stand but Govatos dives back in and keeps control.
Govatos sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Fransua defending well though. Govatos thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fransua's head. Fransua is breathing heavily. Govatos stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Fransua to get to his feet. Fransua looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fransua wants to stand up but Govatos is controlling the position.
Govatos blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fransua. Govatos avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fransua. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Govatos regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Fransua.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Govatos is on top in guard.
Govatos trying to control but Fransua is working from the bottom. Fransua wants to get back to his feet but Govatos is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Govatos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fransua is working an open guard so Govatos takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Govatos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Devan Govatos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Govatos tries to work over Fransua's front leg with a kick but Fransua checks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fransua. Fransua with a poor takedown and Govatos counters with a two punch combo. Govatos fails to land the takedown. Govatos shoots in but no luck this time. A clash of legs there as Fransua blocks the low kick. Govatos throws a head kick but Fransua moves out of range.
Govatos feints and as Fransua raises his hands in defense, Govatos changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fransua keeping moving, preventing Govatos from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Govatos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Devan Govatos dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Govatos stuffs the takedown. Govatos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Govatos slaps away a takedown attempt from Fransua, before circling back to the center of the mat. Govatos throws a leg kick but Fransua moved away. Govatos lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Govatos misses with a head kick.
Fransua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Govatos tries to avoid it but Fransua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Govatos to the ground. Govatos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Fransua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fransua gets caught napping as Govatos dives in and scores a takedown. Fransua manages to retain guard. Govatos postures up in Fransua's guard and throws a big left but Fransua blocks it. Govatos won't allow Fransua to get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Govatos scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Govatos wants to pass the guard but Fransua is keeping the position. Fransua can't keep his opponent in guard - Govatos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Govatos lands strikes from half guard. Govatos looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Fransua on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fransua tries to get out of the position. Govatos scoring with strikes to the body and head. Govatos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Govatos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Govatos winds up and cracks Fransua with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Fransua wants to get back to his feet.
Fransua keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Govatos content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Fransua is trying to stand up here but Govatos is controlling him well. Govatos working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Govatos not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Fransua looks like he's trying to stand up.
This has been an exciting period of action! Govatos stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Pierre Fransua is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Govatos throws a chopping leg kick but Fransua manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Devan Govatos seems to be getting the better of the standup. Fransua takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fransua shoots in looking for a takedown but Govatos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fransua's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fransua gets caught napping as Govatos dives in and scores a takedown. Fransua manages to retain guard. Fransua wants to stand but Govatos is controlling the position. Govatos working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Fransua's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Govatos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Fransua wants to stand and escape but Govatos is having none of it. Fransua keeping moving, preventing Govatos from controlling successfully. Govatos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Devan Govatos has got the better of the ground game so far. Govatos makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Govatos prevents Fransua from getting back to his feet. Govatos with a flurry of punches that miss. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fransua working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Govatos. Fransua wants to get back to his feet but Govatos is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Devan Govatos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. A clash of legs there as Fransua blocks the low kick. Govatos lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Fransua fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Fransua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Govatos throws a series of strikes that have Fransua backpedaling.
Govatos throws a series of punches but Fransua moves out of range. Fransua gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Govatos. Govatos looks to land a body kick but Fransua moved away. Govatos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fransua looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Fransua with a poor takedown so Govatos counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Govatos stops Fransua from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Govatos gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Govatos throws a combination. Fransua tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Govatos drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Govatos trying to control the position but Fransua is working away. Fransua knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Govatos on the ground. Fransua wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Govatos working the ground and pound. Govatos has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Govatos lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Fransua down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fransua takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Govatos stands up and beckons Fransua to his feet. Fransua slips a jab and a cross from Govatos.
Fransua shoots in for a takedown but Govatos shows good takedown defense. Govatos throws a right and a left that Fransua avoids nicely. Govatos shoots in and gets a takedown into Fransua's guard. Fransua keeping moving, preventing Govatos from controlling successfully. Govatos won't allow Fransua to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Govatos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Govatos misses with a head kick.
Govatos looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Fransua! This has been an exciting period of action! Govatos tries to control but Fransua wriggling away. Govatos landing strikes, looking to finish! Devan Govatos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Govatos won't let Fransua get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Pierre Fransua has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Govatos controlling the position easily from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Devan Govatos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Govatos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
