The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villa on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Rafael Villa has been cut.
Puimakone clinches up against the cage.
Puimakone is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Puimakone using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Villa has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Puimakone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Villa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Puimakone throws a big shot that misses.
Puimakone lands a left and a right that send Villa crashing to the mat, dazed. Puimakone thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Villa is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Villa slips a jab and a cross from Puimakone.
Oh Villa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Puimakone closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Villa! Puimakone dives in looking to finish! Villa is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
