Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Polski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Just (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Just has chosen Intriguing Possibilities- Trent Reznor as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Polski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Just! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Polski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Just's waist but Just gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Polski off to one side. Polski throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Just. Polski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Polski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Just decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Polski's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Polski. That's going to take a lot out of him. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Polski utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Polski is looking for a triangle but Just pushes his legs off easily.
Just postures up in Polski's guard and throws a big left but Polski blocks it. Just loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Just working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Just trying to control the position from guard on top but Polski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Polski is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Just is aware though and is defending well. Just wants to control from the top but Polski keeps moving. Just stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Polski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Just trying to control the position from guard on top but Polski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Just has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Polski looking to control.

Just throwing strikes but missing. Polski controlling Just's posture. Polski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Just throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Polski is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Brian Polski. Polski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Just counters with a straight right hand. Polski fails with a takedown attempt. Polski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Just's waist but Just gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Polski off to one side. Just circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Just counters with a head kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A lazy left from Polski finds it's target. A head kick by Polski misses and Just counters with a low kick, right behind Polski 's knee.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Polski shoots in and drives through. Just sprawls well. Polski fails with the takedown and Just makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Polski is breathing heavily. Just shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Polski as he jumps to the side. Just connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Just fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Polski to the ground. Just is now in Polski's guard. Polski has momentary wrist control but Just slips an elbow through the middle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Just stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Polski swivels though and keeps the full guard. Just postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Polski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Just is fighting to break Polski's control of his arms but Polski is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Just working some strikes from top position. Just not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Polski working for submissions but it's allowed Just to get to half guard.
Just is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Just working over Polski with some ground and pound. Polski looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Just not landing any meaningful shots this time. Polski wants to control but Just passes into side.

Peter Just dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Polski looks to land a combination but Just avoids it well. A looping hook to the body misses from Just. Polski does a little dance to reset his feet. Brian Polski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Polski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Just defends it nicely. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Polski is defended easily by Just. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Polski tries to sprawl but Just drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Polski wants to get back to his feet. Polski is controlling Just's position as best he can from this difficult position. Just is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Just working the head and body with strikes. Polski wants to control but Just is keeping busy and won't allow it. Polski is trying to stand back up but Just is controlling him

Polski is rocked! Just lands strikes from half guard. Oh Polski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Just lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Polski! More strikes land and this one is all over! Just jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
