The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kubica bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kubica thuds a left hand into Lombard's body.
A telegraphed right hand from Lombard misses the target.
Kubica really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lombard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kubica looks to throw the jab but Lombard is out of range.

Lombard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kubica circles away quickly and effectively.

Lombard looks to land a left hand but Kubica moved out of range nicely.
Lombard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kubica, as that shot connected.

Lombard takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bernard Lombard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lombard throws an overhand right that lands on Kubica's shoulder, as Kubica tries to avoid the shot.
Kubica sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Lombard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kubica.
Kubica connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lombard. Lombard circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kubica will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kubica takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

A decent looking cross lands there for Kubica.
Kubica is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Kubica changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Kubica is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Kubica scores with a sloppy right hand. Lombard should have avoided that one.
Lombard throws a looping overhand right but Kubica ducks down to avoid it.
Kubica lands a jab to the nose.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kubica feints a jab promting Lombard to slip. Kubica then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lombard slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Kubica fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kimi Kubica dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lombard throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Lombard might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kubica has got the better of the exchanges.

It looks like Bernard Lombard has been cut.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Lombard in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Lombard has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kubica finds it's way round the side to connect with Lombard's head.
Lombard is rocked!
Kubica closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Lombard! Kubica dives in looking to finish! Lombard is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kimi Kubica!
