Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Lunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ronnie Ronbo!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Lunn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A punch combination from Ronbo misses.
Ronbo tries to clinch up.
Lunn doesn't manage to clinch there - Ronbo circles away.
Ronbo gets the takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ronbo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lunn keeps working.
Lunn wants to control but Ronbo postures up.
Lunn is looking for a sweep.

Lunn tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ronbo presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Ronbo is working for a guillotine from mount but Lunn frees his head quite easily.

Ronbo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Lunn is working to get back to half guard.

Ronbo wants to finish this one by submission but Lunn is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ronbo.
Ronbo lands a nice shot to the head.
Lunn is rocked!
Ronbo breaks from Lunn's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Ronbo looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Ronbo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lunn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lunn tries to reverse the position but Ronbo maintains control.
Ronbo looking to control but Lunn is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Lunn keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Lunn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Ronbo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lunn is looking to escape.
Lunn is looking to improve his position but Ronbo isn't that keen on the idea.

Lunn shoots in for a takedown but Ronbo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ronnie Ronbo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ronbo has a takedown stuffed.
Ronbo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lunn, pushing him back against the cage.
Ronbo pushes Lunn back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ronbo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ronbo gets a clinch.
Ronbo breaks from the clinch.
Ronbo is stalking Lunn. Lunn circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Ronbo, and it's lights out! Lunn really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
