The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amongero uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fogerty.
Fogerty throws a body punch but Amongero moves out of range.
Fogerty takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fogerty throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Amongero sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Fogerty looks to score with a jab to the body but Amongero is just out of range.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Amongero wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Fogerty manages to pass to side control.
Fogerty wants to pass to mount but Amongero is defending the position.
Fogerty seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Amongero does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Fogerty is taking a breather. Amongero says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Amongero looks like he's trying to stand up.
Fogerty working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Amongero wants to get back to his feet.
Fogerty uses his free foot to push down on Amongero's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Amongero.

Amongero is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Fogerty fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fogerty cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fogerty lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Fogerty wants to control the pace but Amongero is squirming around nicely.

You get the feeling that Amongero really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Fogerty pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Fogerty unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Amongero wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Fogerty celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
