The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller missing with a left hand there. Dale was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Dale showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Miller.
Miller is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A telegraphed right hand from Miller misses the target. Dale circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dale swats away the attempt to clinch by Miller. Dale throws a series of punches but Miller avoids them all with ease. Dale throws a shot from downtown. Miller moves away and avoids it. Miller fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dale. Miller wants to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Miller looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Miller cracks Dale with a good jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dale on the side of the head. No joy there for Miller, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Miller slips under a jab from Dale. Keith Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller thows a left - swing and a miss! Dale fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Miller looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A punch combination from Miller misses. Miller throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sloppy strikes from Miller. Those never looked like landing. Miller fails to land with a series of punches.
Dale misses the jab. Miller is looking to clinch but Dale is avoiding it.
A big left from Miller misses. Miller uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dale. Miller takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dale darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Miller moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Steve Dale has been cut. Dale connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Miller tumbling to the canvas! Dale pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Miller was done - good stoppage!
