Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Henry Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Shlemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shlemenko comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Guf - Ice Baby kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Henry Blood has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Henry Blood ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alexander Shlemenko! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blood shoots in for a double leg but Shlemenko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Blood closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blood lands in his opponent's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Blood trying to control but Shlemenko is working from the bottom. Blood stands up and waves to Shlemenko to follow him. Blood darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Still in half guard, Blood seems content to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Henry Blood just wasn't active enough. Nice sprawl there from Shlemenko as Blood shoots in. Shlemenko stuffs the takedown attempt from Blood . Blood gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Blood . That's going to take a lot out of him. Shlemenko instigates a clinch. Shlemenko jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Blood walks away with a smile on his face. Shlemenko gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Shlemenko darts in and clinches Blood up against the cage. Shlemenko takes an elbow to the temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shlemenko misses with the head strike.
Shlemenko misses with an elbow over the top. Shlemenko blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Blood fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Blood is looking for a takedown. Blood drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shlemenko pulls his leg out and moves away.
Shlemenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blood paws at him with a jab and circles away. Blood tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Shlemenko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Shlemenko tries to clinch and Blood counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shlemenko looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Blood takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blood is trying to work for a kimura but Shlemenko is defending well.
Blood is trying to control the action in half guard but Shlemenko is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Shlemenko tries to kick Blood off but Blood keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Blood slows the pace down in half guard. Shlemenko looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Henry Blood wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Blood closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Blood has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Blood swats away the attempt to clinch by Shlemenko. Blood closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Shlemenko's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shlemenko is wriggling around but Blood manages to pass to half guard.
Shlemenko is looking to get back to is feet but Blood passes into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henry Blood dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Blood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shlemenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Shlemenko tries to clinch up but Blood circles away and keeps his distance. Sloppy strikes from Blood . Those never looked like landing. Shlemenko clinches up against the cage. Blood is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Shlemenko to keep the fight standing. Shlemenko scores with a nice hook to the head. Blood has Shlemenko pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Shlemenko manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Shlemenko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shlemenko tries to clinch but Blood moves out of range. Blood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shlemenko paws at him with a jab and circles away. Blood wants to clinch up but Shlemenko keeps it at a distance. Shlemenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blood swats him away and circles back towards the center. Shlemenko has closed the distance and engaged Blood in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Shlemenko makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Blood tightens his grip and picks Shlemenko up, before dumping him to the ground. Shlemenko manages to land in guard. Shlemenko working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Blood has passed into half guard!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shlemenko can do anything to dispel that myth. Shlemenko is breathing heavily. Blood seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Blood 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shlemenko has a hand on Blood 's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Blood takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Blood sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Blood prevents Shlemenko from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blood looking to control and managing it successfully. Blood scoring with strikes but Shlemenko is staying in there. Blood has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Shlemenko's face.
Blood is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Shlemenko doesn't manage to clinch there - Blood circles away.
Shlemenko darts in trying to clinch and Blood counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Shlemenko! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blood sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shlemenko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Shlemenko tries to clinch up but Blood circles away and keeps his distance. Shlemenko fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blood sprawls well initially but Shlemenko persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Shlemenko is thwarting Blood 's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blood is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shlemenko's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shlemenko's back! Blood lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Shlemenko hold on?!
Shlemenko wants to get back to his feet. Shlemenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blood . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shlemenko is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Blood .
That's one minute gone in the round. Shlemenko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Blood is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Shlemenko has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Blood has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Shlemenko taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Blood doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Henry Blood ! A less than humble Henry Blood misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
