A fine choice. Nelson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: My Time. Roy Nelson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Nelson.
Stupka fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stupka looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Nelson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Nelson wants to control from the top but Stupka keeps moving.
Stupka on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stupka tries to get out of the position.

Nelson's corner is telling him to maintain position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stupka holds on and takes a little breather.
Nelson wants to control from the top but Stupka keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nelson dodges the punch combination from Stupka.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Nelson misses with a takedown attempt - Stupka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Stupka lands a nice shot that snaps Nelson's head back.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stupka enables Nelson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stupka manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Stupka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nelson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stupka dives on top into guard.

Nelson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stupka defends well.

Nelson has his foot on Stupka's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stupka works his way back into a safe position though.

Stupka trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
