Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jared White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Swinehart!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White gets caught napping as Swinehart dives in and scores a takedown. White manages to retain guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
White is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Swinehart is controlling him.
Swinehart stands and steps away. White gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
White closes the distance but Swinehart moves to the side
and Swinehart counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Swinehart tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
White wants to stand up but Swinehart is controlling him.
Swinehart looking to improve position, pressing down on White's thigh with his hand. White seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Swinehart paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Swinehart's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! White picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
