Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Depuyart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rampus Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Depuyart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rampus Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Depuyart bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Depuyart misses with the ground and pound.
Who's going to make the next move?
The strikes coming from Depuyart are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Depuyart working away.
Diaz tries to improve position but can't.
Depuyart tries to stand but Diaz controls the position and pulls Depuyart into his guard.
Diaz pulls Depuyart in close to prevent any damage.
Diaz is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Depuyart pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diaz is keeping the position for now.

Depuyart manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Diaz on his heels. He'll look to pass Diaz's guard now, I'm sure.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Depuyart wants to stand but Diaz has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rampus Diaz was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Diaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Diaz enables Depuyart to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Diaz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

so Diaz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Depuyart is trying to control the position but Diaz postures up.
Depuyart wants to get back to his feet but Diaz passes into half guard.
Diaz perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Diaz gets caught napping as Depuyart dives in and scores a takedown. Diaz manages to retain guard.

Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Depuyart pinned against the cage. Depuyart gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Depuyart will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Depuyart jumps guard and drags Diaz to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rampus Diaz.

Diaz looks for a takedown but Depuyart sprawls well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown but Depuyart manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Diaz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mike Depuyart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rampus Diaz.

Depuyart throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Diaz works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Depuyart wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diaz keeps working.

Diaz holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rampus Diaz was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Diaz tries to keep at a distance but Depuyart has taken the fight into the clinch.

Depuyart has picked Diaz up - he's going for a ride! Depuyart dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Diaz tries to roll over but Depuyart keeps him under control.
Depuyart missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Depuyart is just content to waste time from the top position. Diaz takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Rampus Diaz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mike Depuyart showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Depuyart has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
