Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bon Kenneth Fitzgibbon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Bernie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bernie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fitzgibbon tries to avoid it but Bernie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fitzgibbon to the ground. Fitzgibbon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fitzgibbon thuds his right hand into Bernie's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Bernie tries to keep at a distance but Fitzgibbon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bernie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fitzgibbon walks away with a smile on his face. Bernie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

A looping hook to the body misses from Fitzgibbon. Bernie does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fitzgibbon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bernie does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bernie takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Bernie darts in and clinches Fitzgibbon up against the cage.

Fitzgibbon has Bernie pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Fitzgibbon pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bernie tumbling to the mat - Fitzgibbon dives into Bernie's guard.

Fitzgibbon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bernie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bernie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fitzgibbon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fitzgibbon's back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fitzgibbon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
