Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Cunha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Ford! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Cunha! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from Ford lands but Cunha takes it in his stride. Cunha will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cunha throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ford's waist but Ford gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cunha off to one side. Cunha shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ford as he avoids it easily. Ryan Ford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Cunha. Ford fails to land the takedown. Ford changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cunha looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ford decides to take the fight back to the feet. Cunha with a poor takedown and Ford counters with a takedown into side control. Ford in side control, just content to control the action for now. Cunha is looking for a sweep. Ford working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ford stands up and beckons Cunha to his feet. Cunha shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ford counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ford content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cunha looks gassed! Cunha makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cunha.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cunha looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cunha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ford doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Cunha is tightening it up a little... Ford has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ford reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ford taps out! nice BJJ there by Cunha!
