Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Aerts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hessu Hopo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Aerts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hessu Hopo! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aerts pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hopo is out of range and Aerts settles back down. Hopo moves out of range of the body kick from Aerts.
Aerts thows a body shot but no joy. Aerts lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hopo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hopo showed some decent athleticism there. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hopo not landing any meaningful shots this time. Hopo prevents Aerts from improving his position. Hopo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Aerts's head. Hopo wants to pass the guard but Aerts is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hopo throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Aerts to regain full guard. Hopo postures up.
Hopo trying to control but Aerts is working from the bottom. Hopo tries to free his leg and advance position but Aerts is retaining full guard. Aerts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hopo on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hopo trying to control the position from guard on top but Aerts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Aerts on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Aerts tries to get out of the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hopo digs a good body shot into Aerts's ribs. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hopo is defended easily by Aerts. Aerts takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Aerts misses with an uppercut. Hopo throws a body punch but Aerts moves out of range. Aerts is looking to land body kicks. Aerts looks to land a left hand but Hopo moved out of range nicely. Left hook, right uppercut from Hopo. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Aerts throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Aerts throws the left hand but Hopo avoids the punch easily. Aerts swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Aerts throws a leg kick but Hopo moved away. Hopo throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hopo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Aerts's guard. Aerts can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hopo controls the pace. Hopo wants to control from the top but Aerts keeps moving. Hopo looking to pass the guard. Hopo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aerts being controlled for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hopo is looking to take a break and control but Aerts is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hopo tries to advance to mount but can't. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hopo is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hessu Hopo dominated that round. That's time! Aerts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hopo. Aerts slips a straight right by Hopo. Aerts lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Aerts waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hopo. Aerts slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Aerts walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Hopo moves out of range as Aerts throws a body kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Aerts lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hopo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hopo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Hopo throws a lazy right hand but Aerts sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hopo slips a jab from Aerts. Aerts is looking to land body kicks. Hopo moves out of range of the body kick. Hopo ducks under a wild hook from Aerts. Hopo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Aerts quickly recovers to half guard. Aerts is in trouble now - Hopo has advanced to mount! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hopo wants to control the pace but Aerts is squirming around nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aerts is desperately trying to improve his position but Hopo has a good base and remains in mount. Hopo thowing shots but they're missing. Hopo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Hopo landing strikes, looking to finish! Hopo lands with some strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hopo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hopo thowing shots but they're missing. Poor strikes thrown by Hopo there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Hopo with good strikes from the mount here! Hopo wants to control the pace but Aerts is squirming around nicely. Hopo sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Hopo looking to control and managing it successfully. Aerts is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hopo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Aerts because Hopo loaded up on that one. Hopo thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Hopo loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Aerts scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Hopo land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Hopo stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hessu Hopo!
