Bermudez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dude is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bermudez, into his guard.

Bermudez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dude gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bermudez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dude looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dude looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dude!

Dude has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Bermudez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bermudez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bermudez jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dude is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dude and Bermudez has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Bermudez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dude's waist but Dude gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bermudez off to one side.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bermudez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dude stalks Bermudez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bermudez's face. Bermudez staggers backwards, shaken.

A close second round but Small Dude will probably get the nod - 10:9.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
