Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Whitaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Turnham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Whitaker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Turnham! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turnham pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Turnham closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Turnham manages to break the clinch.
A left and a right from Turnham both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Sam Whitaker has been cut. Turnham rushes Whitaker and presses him up against the cage. Whitaker tries for a takedown. No joy.
Turnham breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A nice leg kick lands there from Turnham. A jab lands there for Turnham. Whitaker shoots and misses and Turnham counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Whitaker throws an elbow that misses.
Whitaker is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Whitaker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Turnham breaks from the clinch.
Whitaker misses with a takedown and Turnham counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Whitaker is breathing heavily. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Whitaker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Turnham stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Whitaker to get to his feet. Sam Whitaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Turnham throws a series of punches but Whitaker avoids them all with ease. Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
That's one minute gone in the round. Whitaker has his takedown stuffed and Turnham moves into the clinch. Turnham gets a trip takedown into half guard. Turnham escapes and gets back to his feet. Turnham forces Whitaker back against the cage and clinches. Turnham breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Whitaker avoids the head kick by Turnham.
Turnham throws a head kick that half lands.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Turnham pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Whitaker back to the cage. Turnham follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Turnham gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Turnham jumps guard.
Whitaker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Turnham seems keen to control Whitaker's posture. Turnham is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whitaker trying to control but Turnham is working from the bottom. Whitaker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Whitaker drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Turnham manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Whitaker has Turnham in his guard. Turnham stands up and waves to Whitaker to follow him. Whitaker misses with a takedown attempt and Turnham counters with a single leg into guard. Whitaker didn't expect that. Whitaker wants to improve his position but instead Turnham has moved into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turnham thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Whitaker's head. Whitaker on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turnham working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Turnham passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Whitaker! Turnham with shots to the head and body - Whitaker looks very uncomfortable down there. Turnham dominating with strikes here. Whitaker is squirming around, avoiding Turnham's attempts to control the action. Whitaker wants to hold on but Turnham pushes him away. Turnham lands a big shot there that rocks Whitaker but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Whitaker is trying desperately to improve position. Turnham lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Whitaker is looking to improve his position but Turnham isn't that keen on the idea. Turnham working for a submission but Whitaker is keeping him at bay. Turnham landing strikes from the mount and Whitaker is in trouble! Turnham looking to control but Whitaker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Turnham looking to finish Whitaker with some ground and pound. This is bad for Whitaker! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Turnham working Whitaker over with strikes here. Whitaker taking shots to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Turnham dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sam Whitaker's cut. That's time! Whitaker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Turnham cracks Whitaker with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Turnham has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Whitaker to stand back up! Shane Turnham seems to be getting the better of the standup. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Turnham looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Turnham backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Whitaker's temple! It sends Whitaker violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Turnham celebrates and the doctors try to help Whitaker!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Shane Turnham!
