Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adam Jones!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daniels.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Daniels sprawls well. Daniels wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Daniels cracks Jones with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Daniels connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jones looks gassed!
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Daniels scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Daniels connects with the punch.
Daniels lands a really nice looking cross but Jones seems unphased.
Daniels drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Daniels is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Daniels working the ground and pound from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Daniels lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jones down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Jones takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Jones is rocked!
Daniels lands a strong strike to the head of Jones. That's dazed him! Daniels looking to finish here. Jones is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Daniels lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Daniels!
Jack Daniels looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I SMOKE WEED EVERY FUCKING DAY!! FUCK RELIGION!'.
