Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arzuman Asadov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trovador Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asadov comes to the cage accompanied by Arzuman Entrance Song. Trovador Ramos has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Arzuman Asadov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arzuman Asadov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trovador Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos with a lazy takedown attempt

and Asadov counters with a shoot takedown. Ramos fights it but they end up in guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Asadov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ramos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Asadov tries to free his leg and advance position but Ramos is retaining full guard.

Asadov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Asadov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ramos on the ground.

Asadov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ramos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Asadov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramos is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Ramos has hold of Asadov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Asadov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Trovador Ramos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Ramos misses with a series of wild punches.
Ramos closes the distance and clinches up with Asadov, looking for a takedown. Ramos pushes Asadov against the cage but Asadov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Asadov drives through with a takedown into Ramos's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Trovador Ramos hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Arzuman Asadov.
Well Ramos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
