Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George st nkoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dixon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Clash - I Fought The Law. st nkoi has chosen number one as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from st nkoi.
Dixon throws a jab when st nkoi was well out of range.
Dixon moves in looking to clinch but st nkoi pushes him off.
Dixon connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Peter Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
st nkoi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dixon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract st nkoi.
st nkoi throws a nice looking combination but Dixon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Dixon throws a sloppy head kick and st nkoi moves out of range easily.
st nkoi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dixon tries to avoid it but st nkoi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dixon to the ground. Dixon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
st nkoi slips under a jab.
st nkoi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dixon pinned against the cage. Dixon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dixon feints and as st nkoi raises his hands in defense, Dixon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

st nkoi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

st nkoi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dixon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on st nkoi, up you get!
Nice uppercut lands for Dixon. That snapped st nkoi's head back.
st nkoi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dixon as he jumps to the side.
Dixon misses with a straight right.

Dixon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dixon throws a looping overhand right but st nkoi ducks down to avoid it.
Dixon lands a jab to the nose.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dixon stuffs the takedown.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dixon scoring well with a low kick there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from st nkoi is defended easily by Dixon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dixon feints and then cracks st nkoi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow st nkoi down.
Dixon misses with a jab, cross combination.
st nkoi fails with the takedown.
Dixon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dixon.

letting Dixon counter with a right hand.
Dixon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. st nkoi quickly recovers to half guard.

st nkoi wants to control the action here but instead Dixon manages to pass to full mount!
Dixon swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and st nkoi is now in Dixon's guard. A big mistake from Dixon there, giving up the dominant position!

Dixon is refusing to be controlled, as st nkoi sits in half guard.
st nkoi moves nicely into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
st nkoi looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Dixon is avoiding damage well.
st nkoi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Dixon wants to get back to his feet.
st nkoi is working to tighten is grip on Dixon's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dixon has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but st nkoi is really squeezing tight and eventually Dixon passes out! st nkoi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
