Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hosha Hiles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duarte Madeiros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duarte Madeiros is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hosha Hiles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Duarte Madeiros! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Hiles.
Hiles misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hiles throws a combination that misses and Madeiros counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hiles! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Madeiros is working for a guillotine from mount but Hiles frees his head quite easily.
Madeiros looking for a guillotine from mount but Hiles is having none of it. Madeiros has control of Hiles's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hiles regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hiles defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Madeiros. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Madeiros with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's one minute gone in the round. Madeiros mounts Hiles! Really nice guard pass there! Madeiros jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hiles manages to avoid the submission attempt. Madeiros is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hiles is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Madeiros thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Madeiros goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hiles rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Madeiros's guard! Nice work there by Hiles! Hiles trying to stand up but can't free himself from Madeiros's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Madeiros looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Madeiros manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hiles stops Madeiros from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hiles defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Madeiros.

Madeiros working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Madeiros can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hiles is looking to escape. Madeiros is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hiles can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Hiles is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Madeiros wants to control the pace but Hiles is squirming around nicely. Madeiros looking for a guillotine from mount but Hiles is having none of it. Madeiros looking to secure an arm triangle but Hiles defends it well. Hiles wants to try and get back to his feet. Hiles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Madeiros on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Madeiros fails to take his opponent's back. Madeiros goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hiles is on top in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Madeiros trying to control the position.

Madeiros slips under a jab. Hiles misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hiles throws a nice looking combination but Madeiros bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Madeiros shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hiles's guard. Madeiros is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Madeiros wants to control from the top but Hiles keeps moving. Madeiros drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Madeiros jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Madeiros postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hiles is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Madeiros, into his guard. Madeiros controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Madeiros escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hiles gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hiles would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hiles wants to stand and escape but instead Madeiros has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Madeiros is pushing down on Hiles's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hiles is fighting to maintain full guard but Madeiros has managed to sneak the leg through. Madeiros is working for a submission of some sort.
Hiles pushes Madeiros off looking to stand but Madeiros dives back in and keeps control.
Madeiros is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hiles is just riding it out for now. Madeiros eventually gives up the hold. Madeiros is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hiles has managed to free his arm - good work.

Madeiros wants to take a breather but Hiles is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Madeiros is looking for a kimura but Hiles is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Madeiros to get the leverage. Madeiros seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Hiles is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
