The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fulsik defends it nicely.
A slapping leg kick lands for Fulsik.
Summers takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fulsik lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Fulsik.
It looks like Dave Summers has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fulsik tries to bum rush Summers with a series of wild strikes but Summers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dave Summers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice sprawl there from Fulsik as Summers shoots in.
Fulsik drops Summers with a beautiful combination! Summers stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fulsik is looking for the KO!
Summers is rocked!
Summers throws a right hand that misses
and Fulsik counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Summers out cold! What a finish! Fulsik is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Uleh Fulsik!
Uleh Fulsik was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
