Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perry Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Perry Cox has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Perry Cox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Lucas! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cox missing with a left hand there. Lucas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Lucas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cox. Cox misses with a looping left. Cox could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Cox swinging wilding here.
Lucas walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Lucas fails with a takedown attempt. Cox keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lucas showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cox.
Cox tries for a takedown but Lucas circles away easily and Lucas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cox won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lucas tries for a kimura but Cox is defending well. Cox gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Lucas is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Cox tries to kick Lucas off but Lucas keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Lucas is thwarting Cox's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lucas trying to pass the guard but Cox defending well. Cox has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lucas is working away from the top position though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cox swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lucas misses with a takedown and Cox counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Perry Cox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Lucas. Lucas misses with a takedown attempt and Cox connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Cox fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Lucas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cox. Lucas slips under a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cox misses with a left hand and Lucas counters with a nice double leg into guard. Cox is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cox is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lucas is controlling him. Lucas has gone for a leg lock! Cox slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lucas's guard. Lucas has his foot on Cox's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cox works his way back into a safe position though. Lucas trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Lucas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cox manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cox is on top in guard.
Cox is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cox wanted to stand there but Lucas had control of the position. Cox trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lucas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cox manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lucas stands up from Cox's guard - Lucas perhaps looking for a knockout. Lucas fails with a takedown attempt from distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Perry Cox will probably get the nod. That's time! Cox's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cox throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cox avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Lucas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cox won't be happy with that. Lucas happy to just control the position for now. Cox tries to bench press Lucas off him but Lucas keeps the position. Cox is not content to let Lucas control the position. Lucas fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lucas in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Cox struggling a bit here. Cox is looking for a sweep.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cox throws out a powerful jab. Lucas shoots in for a takedown but Cox shows good takedown defense. Perry Cox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cox misses with a body shot.

It looks like Frank Lucas has been cut. Lucas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cox is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cox keeping moving, preventing Lucas from controlling successfully. Lucas tries to free his leg and advance position but Cox is retaining full guard. Cox avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Frank Lucas has got the better of the ground game so far. Lucas tries to free his leg and advance position but Cox is retaining full guard. Lucas trying to control the position from guard on top but Cox is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lucas is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cox is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cox has escaped and now he's on top! Lucas is breathing heavily. Cox slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Lucas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lucas on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Cox stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Lucas with a poor takedown and Cox counters with a two punch combo. Perry Cox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Lucas. Cox lands with a right and another and another! Lucas is in big trouble! Cox lands again and this time it's lights out for Lucas! A quality knockout there for Cox.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Perry Cox!
