Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beach Front (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Beach Front!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Forrest Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Front gets tackled into the cage by Griffin. Griffin maintains the clinch.
Griffin tries a knee to the head but Front blocks it.
Griffin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Griffin working hard to break the clinch.
Griffin is trying to force a seperation but Front has the dominant position.
Front swings wildly with an uppercut but Griffin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Griffin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Front has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Griffin regains guard immediately.
Front postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Griffin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Front is controlling him.
Front has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Griffin looking to control.
Front is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Front lands a couple of digs.
Front trying to control but Griffin is working from the bottom.
Front controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Front with a flurry of punches that miss.
Front trying to control but Griffin is working from the bottom.
Front wants to pass the guard but Griffin is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Front is working hard here to advance position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Front trying to control but Griffin is working from the bottom.
Front throws a big elbow that misses.
Front loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Front trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Front working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Griffin's head.
Front throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Griffin looking to control.
Griffin can't keep his opponent in guard - Front advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Front is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Front trying to control from half guard but Griffin is working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Front is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Front is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Griffin!
Griffin looks gassed!
Front lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Front sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Front in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Front looking to finish Griffin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Griffin!
Front landing strikes from the mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Front has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Griffin's face.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Griffin is bucking up trying to escape but Front cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Front cracks Griffin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
BOOM! Front connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Front looking to finish Griffin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Griffin!


Griffin is rocked!
Front lands a big elbow - Griffin is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Griffin is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Beach Front!
