Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Rosman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charlie Cote is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Rosman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Cote! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Cote. Rosman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cote sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rosman somewhat. Cote should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Cote throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rosman was covering up waiting for the punch and Cote finishes the takedown easily into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Cote slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Cote scoring with punches to the head and body. Cote missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cote is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Cote passes Rosman's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Cote takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Cote wants to pass to mount but Rosman is defending the position. Rosman is looking to escape. Well, if Cote is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rosman wants to control but Cote is keeping busy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rosman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cote sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cote trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rosman controls Cote momentarily but Cote frees himself. Rosman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosman looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Cote passes into side control.
Cote working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Cote working the body and head with strikes. Cote decides to stand back up. Rosman has closed the distance and engaged Cote in a clinch.
Cote jumps into guard, dragging Rosman to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cote looking for a sweep. Not yet Cote, not yet. Cote is controlling Rosman's posture. Cote is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rosman defends well. Cote working a defensive guard here.
Rosman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cote swivels though and keeps the full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rosman trying to control the position from guard on top but Cote is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Cote dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cote moves into range and clinches up with Rosman. Cote pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. Rosman is looking for a takedown. Cote content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Cote is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rosman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cote to the mat. Cote regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cote trying to control the position.
Rosman looking to sit in guard and control but Cote gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Cote must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cote stands and steps away. Rosman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cote darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cote sitting and controlling from the half guard. Let's hope that Cote has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Rosman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Charlie Cote has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Cote closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Cote tries a knee to the head but Rosman blocks it.
Rosman tries to stall but Cote uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Rosman wants a takedown but no success here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rosman is trying to break the clinch but Cote has him pressed against the cage. Rosman tries to score a body lock takedown but Cote shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Rosman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cote avoiding damage as Rosman throws knees to the body.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Cote gets control of Rosman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cote will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosman won't allow Cote to sweep him here. Cote seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Charlie Cote hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Cote drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Rosman is looking to reverse the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cote is looking to take a break and control but Rosman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cote is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Rosman's shoulder. That is not cool. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Cote wants to control but Rosman is keeping him busy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Charlie Cote showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Cote clinches up with Rosman and pushes him back against the cage. Cote lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Cote is taking a breather. Rosman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Rosman is not content to let Cote control the position. Rosman is looking to get back to full guard here but Cote has managed to pass to side control instead. Cote slows the pace down. Rosman gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cote in particular looking to stall. Cote is thwarting Rosman's attempts to control the position. Cote is figuring out what he wants to do next. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Rosman is refusing to be controlled, as Cote sits in half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Charlie Cote was stalling too much, according to the referee. Rosman shoots in for a takedown but Cote shows good takedown defense. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cote throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cote darts in and clinches Rosman up against the cage. Cote tries for a takedown but Rosman manages to get underhooks.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rosman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cote swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rosman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rosman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cote but Cote pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cote misses with a head kick.
Nice jab there from Cote. Rosman closes the distance but Cote moves to the side and Cote counters with a single leg into guard. Rosman didn't expect that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rosman trying to keep a closed guard but Cote is proving a slippery customer.
David Rosman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Charlie Cote is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Cote has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rosman looking for a guillotine here but Cote defends easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Charlie Cote comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cote has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
